Q: Managing Internal and External Links
I’m currently exploring the capabilities of your tool, Linksy, for generating and managing internal and external links, and I’d appreciate some clarification regarding its functionality in my specific setup.
Here’s the context: 1. I have an e-commerce website (non-WordPress platform). 2. I run a WordPress blog to support the e-commerce site. 3. My business works with multiple suppliers, each with their own websites.
My questions is: If I install Linksy on my WordPress blog, can it generate and manage links pointing to: - The e-commerce website? - My own WordPress blog? - External websites, such as my suppliers’ websites?
I’d appreciate your guidance on how best to use Linksy in this multi-platform setup. Please let me know if additional information is required to address my questions.
A: Beyond Linksy's ability to work on your wordpress blog, the Auto-linking feature on Linksy can handle links to other external sites. You set the keyword and the URL pairs and the system takes care of them for present and future posts. Please let me know if that answers your question.
1. When editing a post, I would love a way to have some links automatically suggested as I write, link LinkWhisper does.
2. The tab for Linksy... I wish we could click the suggested linking text and jump to that part of the post so we can see it in context. Then edit from the context itself rather that scrolling back down to the Linksy tab at the bottom (I have it set to bottom as the sidebar version is too narrow to work with).
A: 1. Link Whisper doesn't automatically suggest links as you write. You need to save the post to have links suggested. It's the same way Linksy works.
2. We started Linksy this way. Back then, you could see suggestions within the content and clicking the suggestion would take you to the part of the post. We dropped the design when we realised its limitations with custom page builders and...
